More Than
Just a Fraternity

Pennsylvania DeMolay’s exclusive membership initiative campaign

What Sets DeMolay Apart

Being a DeMolay means more than just belonging to fraternity or club; it means being a part of a deeply-connected family that helps each other grow and succeed. Through planning fundraisers, community service opportunities, and fun events; giving public presentations; coordinating group efforts; and so much else, DeMolays learn valuable skills to prepare them for their lives as adults. By instilling in its members the values of love of one’s parents, reverence for that which is sacred, courtesy for all people, comradeship, loyalty, clean living, and patriotism, DeMolay has created millions of good, upstanding young men in its over 100 years of history. DeMolay fosters friendships between young men that last a lifetime. Whether it’s becoming a leader among your peers, helping build a better community, simply having fun with great friends, or anything else, the possibilities for you in DeMolay are limitless.

KickStart Bags

Pennsylvania DeMolay’s newest membership initiative

This year, each new DeMolay will receive a bag of DeMolay essentials to welcome him to the Order. We’ve entitled these bags “KickStart Bags” because these bags and their contents are everything a young man needs to “KickStart” his time in DeMolay. These bags contain a DeMolay t-shirt, lapel pin, and book of our ceremonies, all wrapped up in an official Pennsylvania DeMolay drawstring bag. Additionally, thanks to the generosity of the Pennsylvania Masonic Youth Foundation, each new member will also have his one-time, life membership fee paid for. In other words, there is no cost to join DeMolay in the year 2020. We hope each young man will take advantage of this exciting offer and take this opportunity to KickStart his growth and development. Keep reading for more details on the KickStart Bags.

The Bag:

The first thing you’ll notice upon receiving your KickStart Bag is the bag itself. Each KickStart Bag our new members receive is a brilliant red with the Pennsylvania DeMolay logo printed on the back in white. You can use the drawstring bag for any number of things in your daily life, from going to the gym to carrying your things to your next DeMolay event. Regardless of how you use it, the bag’s utility and official DeMolay logo make it a must-have for any DeMolay.

The Shirt:

Once you open your KickStart Bag, you’ll find several items, first of which being your very first Pennsylvania DeMolay t-shirt. Like the bag, the shirt is also a bright red with “DeMolay” printed across the chest in white with a yellow outline. On the back is our motto “More than just a fraternity.” Below that is the Pennsylvania DeMolay logo. By wearing this shirt, you tell the world you’re a part of one of the largest organizations for young men in the world, and one of over a million people who have been able to say, “I am a DeMolay.”

The Pin:

The next thing you’l find in your KickStart bag is an official Pennsylvania DeMolay lapel pin. The pin is a bright white in the shape of the state of Pennsylvania surrounded by a gold border. In the center of the pin is the full color Pennsylvania DeMolay logo. As there will be many times throughout your DeMolay experience where you may need a suit, having this pin on your lapel will serve as a nice accessory and a small symbol of your membership in DeMolay.

The Book:

Also included in your KickStart Bag is a small red book containing several DeMolay ceremonies. From the public ceremonies we use to showcase our members’ abilities to the simple procedures used in DeMolay meetings, the book contains all the ceremonies you may need on hand as a DeMolay member. These ceremonies have helped DeMolays for over 100 years better their public speaking skills and will give you this opportunity as well.

The Cash:

While your KickStart Bag doesn’t come with any physical money, it does come with the added bonus of free lifetime membership in the Order of DeMolay. Thanks to the generosity of the Pennsylvania Masonic Youth Foundation, each young man who joins DeMolay in the year 2020 will join cost-free (usually about $40). With this, your lifetime membership in this brotherhood comes without the barrier of cost and there has never been a better time to join DeMolay.
