Second Annual Dodgeball For Dyslexia

Crop Kody far rightOn May 21, 2016, Elizabethtown Chapter hosted the Second Annual Dodgeball For Dyslexia event at Spooky Nook Sports Complex. A total of 8 teams participated in the tournament made up of DeMolay members, advisors, friends and family members. DeMolay Chapters that participated along with Elizabethtown were Pilgrim and Westmoreland.

As the tournament progressed, two teams proved their dominance and ended up competing in the championship game, E-Town Beat Down and Pilgrim’s Energizers. A close match-up ended with Elizabethtown winning the tournament.The Energizers finished in second place, while the Ubar Grotto team finished in third. Pilgrim was awarded the Spirit Award and Westmoreland was awarded the Bronze Dodgeball for donating the most money to the Children’s Learning Centers; $430 which came from a sub sale that the chapter held. A total of $1,025 was raised to benefit the Children’s Learning Centers from Pittsburgh, Harrisburg and Lancaster.
