On March 12, 2016, the Pittsburgh Greater Masonic Center hosted the annual PA DeMolay Rose Croix Class, an induction class to welcome new members into the Order of DeMolay. This year, 11 young men were inducted into our organization representing Erie, Westmoreland, Al-Aksa, Lorraine, Lincoln, Joppa and George Washington Chapters.
The degree cast was performed by several DeMolay’s that took on these parts for the very first time. Members of Westmoreland Chapter served as all three Councilor’s during the Initiatory Degree, with David Smith in the East, Dylan Kirk in the West, and Keith Swackhammer in the South. The DeMolay Degree was performed with Eric Goldstein of Westmoreland performing the part of Jacques DeMolay, Cody Rosenbauer of Lorraine performing the part of Master Inquisitor and Michael Whitney of Erie performing the part of Orator. Great job to all for performing excellent ritual!
The event concluded with the welcoming of our new brothers into the Order. “Dad” Rodney Boyce, Most Wise Master of the Pittsburgh Chapter of Rose Croix reminded everyone that joining the Order of DeMolay means that we are all brothers, whether an active or senior member. State Master Councilor Adam Pritchard also presented brother Adam Neubauer with the DeMolay letter, which is awarded through DeMolay International. Special thanks go out to “Dad” Eric Ullom and his team for helping coordinate this degree class, and the members of the Pittsburgh Chapter of Rose Croix, for their continuous support of our great organzation.
