Reminder: March 15th Due Date
March 15th is almost here - and that means if your Chapter hasn’t submitted its 2009 Financial Report, 2010 Insurance Fees and 2010 Endowment Fund Fees it’s important that you take care of that in the next two weeks! If you have any questions or problems please notify me as soon as possible!
Thank You Susquehanna!
Instead of waiting until their Deputy Executive Officer to contact them about scheduling their Annual Reorganizational Advisory Council Meeting for the Fall, the Advisory Council of Susquehanna Chapter under the leadership of Chairman John Richards has already set the date! This is great advanced planning! In May you will be hearing from your DEO about scheduling your meeting in late September, October or early November (must be before November 15, 2010) so if you want to follow Susquehanna Chapter’s lead you can contact him to set the date!
More Susquehanna Kudos!
We’re just days away from the start of DeMolay Month, and the first (and only!) Chapter to have their preliminary letter in for the DeMolay Month Competition is Susquehanna Chapter! This is of particular noteworthiness because the letter was prepared by Master Councilor Shawn Bookwalter! DeMolays leading DeMolays! How great is that! There’s still time to get the preliminary letter in, but even without it your Chapter is still encouraged to participate in the competition and all points accrued during March will be counted—as long as the recap letter is submitted by April 15th!
Silly Kids! Key Man is for Advisors too!
Then the 2010 Key Man Conference isn't just for DeMolays, it's for you too! As we have done in the past, an Advisor Track that will run from Sunday to Wednesday (8/8-8/11) and Wednesday to Saturday (8/11-8/14) will be offered at the 25th Anniversary Key Man Conference. If you have advisor(s) who would benefit from this training please contact me as soon as possible and I will send them an invitation with a registration form; or you can download one from the PA DeMolay Webpage. The cost is advertised as $125 for the four day program but because we want them to attend PA DeMolay is willing to offer the program for our Advisors at just $75! It’s a great offer! It’s a great opportunity! Suggest it to your new Advisors!
DAD Plus Program
Have you heard the news? PA DeMolay is now offering DAD Plus classes at every DeMolay program held at the Masonic Conference Center - Patton Campus in Elizabethtown. These are continuing education topics designed to help our veteran advisors stay fresh; keep up with the changing complexion of the DeMolay world; and quench the thirst of those who want to become better advisors through more training than the DAD Program offers. At Basketball two such DAD Plus courses will be offered:
10:30 AM The PMC-MSA with “Dad” Bill Glose, Director of the PMC-MSA Program
1:30 PM Chapter Finances with “Dad” Fred Wichterman, Chairman, FBC
The Basketball Tournament is sold out and Patton Campus is filled, but if you have Advisors who are interested in coming in for the day to attend one or both of these sessions, please contact me at your earliest convenience and I’ll add them to the list!
Some of the upcoming topics will be:
The DeMolay Ritual and Installation Planning at Super Hero School on May 1st.
Sweetheart Programs and Statewide Competitions during Softball on July 31st.
DeMolay Month, Obligatory Days & Awards during Flag Football on October 23rd.
Registration information on these upcoming DAD Plus classes will be sent to all chapters in the near future. If you have suggestions for future DAD Plus topics, please let me know!
